It's a quote kind of day

I am fond of popsicles (or "posicles," which is one of my favorite e-mail typos, courtesy of Victor). I ate a lot of them in college (along with Smarties), especially when Selene and I lived together on Mission in Santa Cruz. The problem with posicles is that, naturally, your tongue and lips get all frozen, making conversation difficult. So one time I was home from class watching the Muppets and I downed a couple posicles. Selene comes home and engages me in conversation. But I hadn't defrosted at that point, so she looks at me and says, have you been sitting here drinking and watching the Muppets? And I say, I'm not drunk, my tongue's frozen. Today, I find the phrase useful after trips to the Dairy Queen for grape slushies.
